After HS I became an Certified Optician and spent 25 years in the optical business. Held several management positions for national chains. Moved to managed a chain of regional optical stores and franchises in 5 states based out of Philly until opening my own Optical Store in the 90s. Closed it 5 years later. Changed businesses and opened a Packing and Shipping store. Closed the business 4 years later and went to work for the Defense Logistics Agency, part of the Department of Defense. After holding several management positions I became the first Strategic Planning Specialist at DLA Susquehanna Distribution Center, the largest of 26 military depots worldwide.
