TREADWELL--Karen, of Westport, Connecticut, loving wife and best friend of Alan H. Eugley, beloved mother of Elizabeth, age 18 and Seth, age 11, died November 11, 2007 after four year battle with breast cancer. She was 48. Ms. Treadwell grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a Westport resident for the past 13 years. She graduated from Colgate University in 1981 where she received a BA in History. While at Colgate she was a member of the University's first China Study Group as well as study groups in Geneva, Switzerland, London, England and Washington, DC. She continued as an avid traveler throughout her life and took great pleasure sharing those experiences with her husband Alan and son, Seth. Karen Treadwell enjoyed a fulfilling 21 year career with the Rockefeller Group in New York City where she most recently served as Vice President and Treasurer. In this position she was responsible for the Company's Treasury Department including all debt and investment activity. Ms. Treadwell also served as a member of the Rockefeller Group's Investment and Development Committees evaluating major new real estate projects. She was a member of the Executive Committee and past Chairman of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers. Ms. Treadwell was also a member of the board of directors of the Old Merchants House Museum in Greenwich Village, NY. In 2000, she was appointed to the Academy of Women Achievers of the YWCA of the City of New York. In addition to her husband and two children, survivors include her parents, Kenneth and Sally Treadwell of Pittsburgh, PA
